From Monday 22nd June the Costa del Sol has at last come out of the State of Alarm, which now allows us all to move around as we did before the lockdown, albeit with social distancing measures - "The NEW Normal".
Flights to the Costa del Sol are now slowly resuming but we do not expect much traffic until we enter July. The government are allowing flights initially only from Countries which they feel have the virus under control, so it will be phased return to normal.
Until things become a little clearer and we can see that there are no spikes with new infections from the arrival of people from other Countries our offices will remain closed to the public unless by prior appointment. Our view is that this is the sensible thing to do, no-one wants a second wave of new cases!
Although our offices remain closed this does not mean that we are closed. We are available to show clients properties for sale, so please do not hesitate to contact us should you wish to view any of the properties on our website.
Benalmádena is a town on southern Spain's Costa del Sol
Benalmádena covers an area of just over than 27 km2 that extends from the summits of the Sierra de Mijas to the sea, falling in some places as a cliff. The territory is crossed from east to west on Highway A-7, which connects with the provincial capital and other centers of the Mediterranean coast.

The municipality has three main urban areas:
Benalmádena Pueblo, the original village, which lies about 3km inland at an elevation of approximately 200 metres above sea level. Its core consists of a typical white-fronted Andalusian village, although including numerous recent buildings in modern architectural styles. The Pueblo has a wide variety of amenities on offer, including a bull ring, museums, a castle, sports centre, many shops, bars and restaurants plus general amenities.
Arroyo de la Miel (Honey Stream), originally a separate village, is in the interior between the other two areas. It has become the main residential area, and is also the most commercially active. Buildings, many of them apartment blocks. are tightly packed. It has attractions such as the Tivoli World amusement park, and a teleferico (cable car running to the summit of the 769-metre Calamorro mountain, which provides panoramic views of the Sierra Nevada, Gibraltar and, on clear days, the Moroccan coastline.
Benalmádena Costa, an urban agglomeration on the coast. Here there are discos, hotels, beaches, shopping centers and an extensively-equipped marina. Tourist attractions include Sea Life aquarium and Selwo Marina, a theme park with dolphins, penguins and seals among other species. The Parque Paloma is a more recent addition to the attractions, a landscaped park containing a large lake.
The climate is typically Mediterranean, with mild temperatures throughout the year, no frost in the colder months, and an average temperature of 19 °C (66 °F). Its privileged climate and location in the southern coastal Europe are two important factors so that the tourism industry is the main economic sector of the municipality.
