Eva Longoria, the renowned Desperate Housewives actress, has embraced the allure of Spain, deciding to relocate with her family. Longoria, her husband Pepe Baston, and their five-year-old son Santiago are leaving Los Angeles to settle in Spain, following the sale of their Beverly Hills home.

This significant transition began in early 2023 when Longoria and Baston listed their Beverly Hills residence for around €18 million.

Despite this major move, the couple will continue their professional endeavors in Los Angeles and Mexico. Baston maintains strong connections with Televisa, Latin America’s leading communications company.

A New Beginning

Sources indicate that both professional and personal reasons influenced Longoria's decision. A close friend of the actress revealed that the couple is seeking a nurturing environment for their son, away from Hollywood's hustle and bustle.

Longoria has always expressed her love for Spain. In a heartfelt interview with Hola! magazine, she shared, “I feel very happy when I am in Spain; I love this country. I discovered Marbella 20 years ago, and it was love at first sight.” Her dream of living in Spain materialized earlier this year when she purchased a dream home in Marbella, calling it “my oasis, my paradise.”

Celebrity Migration to Spain

Longoria is not the first celebrity to relocate to Spain. Other notable stars such as Penelope Cruz, Javier Bardem, Amber Heard, and Richard Gere have also left Los Angeles for a life in Spain.

Longoria's connection to Spain dates back over two decades through the Global Gift Foundation, facilitated by Melanie Griffith and her friend Maria Bravo. This long-standing relationship has now culminated in Longoria fulfilling her dream of making Spain her home.

As Longoria explains, “I associate Spain with vacations. When I’m here, I don’t have schedules. I go to the beach with my son... It’s a slower way of life, but very fulfilling.”
